12 Chairs Wins The Seeds of Peace 1st Annual HUMMUS TASTE-OFF
The Hummus Taste-Off was a new tasty and competitive addition for this year’s Peace Market, organized by committee member and hummus lover, Maureen Sullivan with Artis. We want to thank all the restaurants for their incredible generosity each bringing 40 lbs of hummus, pita, fixings, and their talented chefs - Casa LaFemme, Pera, Moustache - and the winner of both the VIP judges and the audience vote - 12 Chairs (with Pera getting a sliver medal in audience vote).
Our thanks to our esteemed foodie judges Salma Abdelnour, Karine Bakhoum, Shazia Khan, Stelios Phili and Erin Zimmer. Quoting from their anonymous notes – “delicious, want to name my first child after it” “spectacular – pita perfect, silky smooth” “True to the chickpea” – now that’s good hummus!
